COLOR, LIGHT, & THE HUMAN FORM II

WORKSHOP

 What we'll do
"COLOR, LIGHT, & THE HUMAN FORM II"
WORKSHOP
PAINT ACCURATELY FROM LIFE!
The Figure, color theory, and light & shadow...
a 2nd course in study in depth of how color theory applies to the human form

The Grants Pass Museum of Art
Invites you to the study with Bobbi Baldwin in a special workshop!
June 22-23, 2018
10:00 am—4:00 pm
$150
($20 donation to Grants Pass Museum of Art included)
Do you have an interest in painting the human? Have you been told to keep your shadows cool and your light warm... or was it that the light was cool and the shadow warm?? And... your what?! "darkest dark within your lit side needs to remain lighter than your lightest light within your dark side" ... Don't get frustrated ... ... Let me explain all of this in easy to learn terms ... This class is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about how to draw the human form and understand color theory and lighting. It will also apply color theory to the way you draw the human form - including how shadow and light can make your work far better. We will take it a step further than last weekend's workshop... now with bouncing color. You will go away with stronger knowledge of how to apply your light and shadow, how to keep them separated, and how to draw anyone in any position. You don’t want to miss this.
Some figure drawing knowledge is suggested - in all mediums but oil. The instructor will be using pastels for demonstrations.

STRUCTURE OF THE HUMAN FACE

The Grants Pass Museum of Art

Invites you to study with Bobbi Baldwin in a special workshop!

October 13, 2017

9:00 am—3:00 pm (with optional lunch)

You will learn from a hands-on demo and lecture by Bobbi Baldwin, who has taught this same lesson to plastic surgeons. The morning will be an in depth study of how to think about the anatomy and structure of the face in simple terms of physiology and drawing skills. Bobbi puts this lecture into common sense terms, teaching you how to think about the structure, measure, shape, and shadow in ways that you haven’t thought to do previously. The after-noon will be for you to practice what you have learned. It is a must, for all who paint or draw. You don’t want to miss this.
