what warm & cool colors are referring to, and knowing where to put
the right colors? This class is all the best kept secrets of color
used by the best painters. Let me help you with that...
Whether you are a beginner or intermediate painter, I will
have tips, fun color matching exercises, and lots of information
about the tubes of paint you are using.
COLOR MIXING & THEORY
1) What will be covered in the class: The elements of theory
relating to mixing color according to how we see
(scientifically) using the color wheel, lighting (and shadow)
temperature, color matching, when and how to define the
temperature of the color, color compliments, color transitions,
and color terms.
2) The participants will gain skills: in color mixing
confidently and knowledge of the importance of use for gray and
brown.
3) The activities that the participants will experience:
Creation of a reusable color wheel with graphs of primary color
mixtures, tint mixtures, gray and brown mixtures, and transition
maps for both primary and secondary colors. Artists will gain a
real strength in knowledge as to how to mix the right color
easier and faster.
