The project...

In the month of August, 2015, I am beginning a project that involves painting one portrait of a different person every day for the full month of August.  Each day I have a different volunteer to pose for me.  I will be posting the images here.  This exercise will be used for a publication that I am working on.  Each person will sit for 3 hours with breaks every 30 minutes or as needed.  The photo images of my work and the sitting will be used.  The portraits will be available for purchase by the sitters.  Above you will find an example of what a 3 hour portrait study looks like in oil.  Stay tuned...

I am so happy to announce that the schedule has been booked through the 31 days with different subjects for each day.

I have a waiting list.  If you are interested in putting your name on the waiting list, please let me know.

40 -18 x 24" canvases have been ordered and delivered.

I will be painting a primary coat of paint onto the surface of all the canvases throughout the next month.  This will allow a painted surface so that the studies don't have to be painted fully to the edge at the time of the sitting.

stay tuned to my  Blog   for more day to day updates!
